Shops in Marazion include Post Office, Pharmacy, bakery, general store and galleries plus several pubs and restaurants.
Marazion itself is one of the oldest towns in Britain, the Town Charter dating back to 1257. Situated in Mount’s Bay, Marazion has a safe, clean beach with a lifeguard patrol in the high season. It is a popular destination for those looking for a beach holiday and water sports including windsurfing, kite-surfing and sailing, many national and international championships have been held in the bay.
A perfect location for families - there is a children’s playground on the folly, an open grassed area above the beach and next to the sailing boat pen. Marazion Marsh, to the west of the town, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and as such has a wide variety of animal, bird and plant life. A great destination for bird-watchers wishing to catch migrating birds or to marvel at the evening gathering of starlings in the autumn sunsets.
For walkers, many coastal or inland walks can be started from the front door.
